In response to The Teenage Cancer Trust Appeal to help develop services for young people affected by cancer in the East of Scotland, Springfords organised a Pub Quiz Night on 9 May at the County Hotel, Dalkeith.
Teenage Cancer Trust currently have one unit at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh but aim to develop their services by adding:
Springfords invited local clients and contacts along to the County Hotel (who kindly donated the room hire fee to the charity), and our thanks go to local businesses who supported the venture by purchasing tables and donating prizes to the raffle.
The quiz winners were NetworkROI from Roslin who are pictured above receiving the winners' trophy from our Quizmaster, Simon Walton.
A total of £1,180 was raised on the night and a cheque for this amount was presented to Louise Stirton, Regional Fundraiser for the Teenage Cancer Trust (see picture left) by Partner Carol Wright and members of Springfords quiz team. Carol commented "We are delighted with the sum raised which will directly benefit local teenagers who suffer from cancer".
This was the first pub quiz Springfords have organised - watch this space for details of the next one!
