Fiona Donaldson, our Private Client Tax Partner, was delighted to be invited to Andy Murray’s fabulous Cromlix Hotel recently for a very special lunch, including guests Judy Murray and Albert Roux.
Fiona was the guest of James Barrack, Managing Director of Knight Property Group, and a member of The Prince’s Trust Scotland Advisory Council, who bid generously for the experience, donated by Judy and Albert, at Lunch with an Old Bag, the glamorous annual fundraiser for The Prince’s Trust Scotland, hosted by James Thomson OBE at Prestonfield House.
Fiona, who chairs the LWOB Committee, and has also recently joined The Prince’s Trust Scotland Advisory Council, tells us that the lunch was just as delicious and sumptuous as one would expect from Albert Roux!
Albert and Judy were charming and entertaining hosts, and Judy brought along a very special surprise guest, her Strictly Come Dancing Partner Anton du Beke.
Judy and Anton shared their “Strictly” gossip over lunch, bets were taken on the eventual winners, and there was much hilarity. No dancing, though!
Such was the impact of the charming and debonair AdB that a bevy of Edinburgh Old Bags are going along to watch him trip the light fantastic with his partner Erin Boag at The Usher Hall in February, where it’s rumoured that Anton will be the one to have a surprise guest.
