Well, that’s another year over for the Springfords Employee Charity Committee and it’s certainly been a busy, fun filled, year.
The soup rota and tuck shop continue to provide regular income, and partners and staff have taken part in many other fundraising activities covering Red Nose Day, Grand National and Eurovision, with our Bake-Off trophy this year being awarded to Emma Logan in the Business Group. More recently we ran events covering Jeans for Genes, Wear It Pink and Children In Need.
Our final event for the year was a monthly quiz spanning four months, with the winner, Susanne Robertson from the Payroll Group, receiving the 2017 Springfords Brain Box trophy.
Our ever popular Kids Xmas Party rounded off the year with 27 children enjoying craft activities arranged by our resident Brown Owl, Linda Beveridge. The children also enjoyed food and games and a visit from Santa - Nadine Blackhall's eldest daughter, Sarah, is pictured receiving her present from Santa.
We look forward to announcing the final figure raised for 2017 and giving the funds out to nominated good causes – once the January tax return deadline has been met of course!
